הִנֵּה is a text and workbook that offers an innovative curriculum for the introduction of Biblical Hebrew. The הִנֵּה program balances two major demands of an introductory language program: the reflection of the most frequently occurring lexical and grammatical examples, and the sequencing of the material in a way that will allow for easier teaching and learning. Attention is given to the presentation of the broad picture of how Biblical Hebrew behaves, as well as to imparting the most efficient and effective skills and tools which will allow students to access straight-forward Biblical texts early on.

Rahel Halabe is a designer, developer, and instructor of both Biblical and Modern Hebrew curricula with more than 20 years of experience. She has applied her methods to creating and teaching courses at the Vancouver School of Theology, the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver Mini Ulpan, and Vancouver Jewish Community Center. Rahel Halabe holds a B.A. in Modern Arabic Literature from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (HUJ), and is a published Hebrew translator of nine works of Modern Arabic literature. Rahel Halabe also earned diplomas from HUJ in Second Language Teaching and in Translation, as well as an MEd. from the Department of Language and Literacy at UBC. |
